Suspected cannabis detections during house searches in Mayo town

Garda investigations are ongoing after suspected cannabis was detected during searches of two dwellings in Westport.

In the unrelated incidents, over €9,000 worth of the substance was discovered - including cannabis jellies.

A man was arrested in respect of one of the finds, with an estimated value of €2,500, and a file is expected to be send to the DPP.
