No vacant beds at Mayo University Hospital despite being free of positive Covid cases

Mayo University Hospital is without a confirmed Covid patient for the second successive day.

The facility has just one suspected case in care while the ICU at the centre remains virus free.

Mayo University Hospital is among six in the country to have no positive Covid cases.

However, there are still 220 in hospitals nationally, no change in the past 24 hours.

Galway University Hospital has 10 positive cases in care, an increase of one, while Sligo University Hospital has one, down by one.

The number of patients in intensive care units nationally is 54, a decrease of four.

There are no vacant general beds and no vacant critical care beds today at MUH.
