Mayo property prices rise by €10,000
Property prices in Mayo have risen by €10,000 during the quarter, according to the latest MyHome.ie property report.
The report for quarter one 2021 shows that the median asking price for a property in the county is now €175,000 compared with €165,000 in quarter four 2020.
This means prices have increased by €15,000 since this time last year.
Continuing with this trend, the asking price for a three-bed semi-detached house in the county rose by €2,000 over the quarter to €149,000.
This represents an increase of €4,000 compared to quarter one 2020.
Meanwhile, the asking price for a 4-bed semi-detached house in Mayo rose fell by €8,500 over the quarter to €170,000.
However, this still means prices in the segment rose by €20,000 compared to this time last year.
The number of properties for sale in Mayo on MyHome.ie is down 5% compared to quarter four 2020, and by 24% compared to this time last year.
The average time for a property to go sale agreed in the county after being placed up for sale now stands at nearly seven and a half months.
