New positive Covid cases at Mayo University Hospital after two days without any
Three new positive Covid cases are in care at Mayo University Hospital today.
That follows two days in which the facility was free of confirmed cases.
There are no suspected cases at the Castlebar centre and the ICU remains Covid-free.
Galway University Hospital has nine positive cases in care, down by one one, while Sligo University Hospital has one, no change.
Nationally, there are 209 positive cases in Irish hospitals, a decrease of 19.
The number of patients in intensive care units nationally is 53, a decrease of one.
There is one vacant general bed and no vacant critical care beds today at MUH.
Nationally, the Health Protection Surveillance Centre confirmed seven additional deaths yesterday along with 400 new cases.
Six new cases occurred in Mayo, giving the county a 14-day incidence rate of 90.4 - below the national average of 147.3.
