Robbie Henshaw in action for Leinster against Exeter Chiefs.

Former Connacht star nominated for EPCR European Rugby Player of the Year

Former Connacht player Robbie Henshaw, now with Leinster, is among the nominations for the EPCR European Player of the Year Award.

Fifteen players are listed on the initial list, with a quartet of Leinster players being the only Irish representatives.

The list will be reduced to five players in early May following the Heineken Champions Cup and Challenge Cup semi-finals.

La Rochelle, under head coach Ronan O'Gara, former Munster and Ireland out-half, have five players listed for the award. La Rochelle play Leinster in the Heineken Champions Cup semi-final on May 2.

Public voting is now open for the initial list so you can cast your vote for Athlone native Robbie or any of other listed players at www.EPCRugby.com/EPOTY.
