Man facing charges over unauthorised taking of car in west Mayo

A man in his 20s is facing charges over the unauthorised taking of a car at the Quay, Westport, last Saturday morning.

He was arrested by gardaí later that day and appeared before a special sitting of Castlebar District Court on Sunday.

The suspect was remanded in custody to appear before tomorrow's sitting of the court.
