Work to start soon on new €1.9m. Crossmolina Fire Station

A letter of approval has been issued to Mayo County Council for the new fire station in Crossmolina for the amount of €1,960,173 under the Department of Local Government's fire services capital programme.

Local Councillor Michael Loftus said the good news was relayed to him by Deputy Dara Calleary.

Councillor Loftus confirmed construction work is due to commence shortly.

"I want to thank Minister Darragh O Brien and Dara Calleary TD for showing a great commitment to our town, the architect section in Mayo County Council and the firemen in Crossmolina," he added.
