Friday's Covid report from Mayo University Hospital

Three confirmed Covid cases are in care at Mayo University Hospital today - no change in the past 24 hours.

That's according to the latest report from the facility compiled at 8 p.m. yesterday.

Nationally, there are 136 positive cases in hospital care, a drop of 15.

Galway University Hospital has nine cases, down by two, and Sligo University Hospital has one, no change,

There is one suspected case at the Castlebar centre, up by one, and the intensive care unit remains Covid-free.

There are three vacant general beds at MUH and one vacant critical care bed.

Meanwhile, eight new confirmed cases were reported in the community yesterday, leaving Mayo with a 14-day incidence rate of 69.7 - below the national average of 124.6.

Mayo's five-day moving average has increased to five.
