Successful rescue of faller conducted at west Mayo coastal location

Achill Island Coast Guard has been tasked by the Marine Rescue Coordination Centre to rescue a faller in Mulranny.

On arrival at the scene earlier today, members assessed the situation and assisted the paramedics by stretchering the causality to the awaiting ambulance.

A spokesperson said: "On scene we had the assistance of An Garda Síochána as well as the National Ambulance Service (NAS)

"Many thanks to everyone involved in this morning's rescue.

"We wish the casualty a speedy recovery.

"Remember if you see anyone in trouble in the sea or on the shore dial 112/999 and ask for the Coast Guard."
