Passing of former Mayo newsagent, Richard Wynne

The death of Richard Wynne, Gort an Tobair, Parke, and formerly of Wynne’s Newsagents, Main Street, and Blackfort, Newport Road, Castlebar, has evoked an immense sense of loss in the community at large.

A member of one of the town's oldest and most respected families, Richard (Richie) was held in high regard by everybody who knew him.

Predeceased by his parents, Des and Ita Wynne, he will be sadly missed by his loving wife Bríd (Quinn), sister Deirdre Wynne-Pelly and brother Garry, brother and sisters in-laws, nieces and nephews Alana, Leona, Oisín, Ruairí and Fionn, nieces and nephews-in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many good friends including members of the Reserve Defence Forces and Parke Drama Group.

Deepest sympathy is tendered to the bereaved family on their loss.

Removal from his residence takes place on Thursday at 11 a.m. for cremation in Shannon Crematorium at 3 p.m. via the old Turlough Road and Main Street, Castlebar.

Due to the HSE and Government guidelines the funeral at all stages will be private for family only.
