Community mourns passing of much-loved Castlebar woman Mary Gavin

The death has occurred peacefully at her residence of Mary Gavin (née Foy), Liscromwell, Castlebar, and late of Ballinafad, Belcarra.

A much-loved personality, she was predeceased by her husband Billy, daughter Catherine, son Frank and grandson David.

Mary is very deeply regretted by her loving family: daughters Mary (Moran) and Bernie (McManamon), sons Michael, Liam (Leo) and Bryan, sister Chris Prendergast (Ballyglass), brother-in-law Henry (Bradford), daughters-in-law Angela, Alacoque and Niamh, sons-in-law Noel and Padraic, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, neighbours, relatives and friends, to whom deepest sympathy is tendered.

Removal takes place from her residence on Wednesday at 1.15 p.m. for Funeral Mass at 2 p.m in the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar, via the old Creamery Road and Main Street.

Mary will be laid to rest afterwards in the New Cemetery, Castlebar.
