Mayo Addiction and Suicide Awareness extending their services

MAYO Addiction & Suicide Awareness (MAASA) are extending their services with a new premises in north Mayo.

MAASA is preparing to open a premises in Diamond Car Park, Ballina, on May 21.

The premises will host a charity shop and private relaxed atmosphere for concerned individuals, friends and family who have been directly and/or indirectly affected by suicide or addiction, to come talk, listen and get support.

The proceeds from the charity shops, donations and any fundraising events will go directly toward the running of the charity shops at Richard Street, Castlebar, and Ballina and to help provide mental health services to local communities.

MAASA look forward to the reopening of their Castlebar premises on May 17 and developing relationships in the Ballina community when they officially open on May 21 in the town.

Gently used bric-a-brac, clothes, jewellery and household items can be dropped off at either location from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. as of May 17. They are unable to take mattresses, bed linen, toys or books. All support appreciated.
