Mayo team for Galway clash announced

The Mayo team to face Galway in the opening round of the Lidl Ladies National Football League has been announced.

Carnacon's Fiona McHale returns to the starting line-up almost three years after her last appearance for the Green and Red. She has been handed a midfield berth alongside Kilmoremoy's Mary McHale.

Elsewhere, Eilish Ronayne will captain the team from right half-back and Niamh Kelly, fresh from a stint Down Under in the AFL, starts in the half-forward line.

The Division 1A clash between the big rivals throws in a 7.30 p.m. tomorrow (Saturday, May 22) in Elverys MacHale Park.
