Speed limits in Mayo's towns and villages slammed as 'a joke'

CONCERN about traffic speeds in many towns and villages has been raised by a Ballinrobe councillor.

The speed limits, said Councillor Michael Burke, are 'a joke' at the moment - and he described the speeds of some motorists as 'reckless'.

He has requested the gardaí to do checks.
