Ballina Town have enjoyed much success in the Super Cup in recent years. They will face Castlebar Celtic in the opening round.

Draws made for Calor Gas Super and Premier Cups

THERE are possibly a number of high-profile first-round casualties on the cards following the draws for the Calor Gas Super Cup and Premier Cup.

The big tie of the opening round of the Super Cup will see Mayo heavyweights Castlebar Celtic face Ballina Town. It is the fifth season in a row that they have met in the competition. The previous four encounters have all gone the way of Ballina Town, which include two victories in the 2017 and 2018 finals at Solar 21 Park, Milebush.

Other notable ties include Manulla travelling to Green Road to face Straide & Foxford United in what will be Declan Kilkelly’s first competitive game in charge of the Carramore outfit.

In the Premier Cup, a north Mayo derby is on the cards when Conn Rangers visit Moy Villa, while Ballinrobe Town mark their return to adult junior soccer with a trip to Celtic Park to take on Castlebar Celtic B.

The games are scheduled take place on the weekend of June 26/27.
