Applications open for Culture Night 2021 in Mayo

CULTURE Night 2021 will take place on Friday, September 17. This year’s programme of events is currently being planned and will feature an island-wide programme, embracing all aspects of culture, with the usual myriad of fantastic events and activities.

Mayo County Council Art Service is currently accepting applications from groups in Mayo to join in the national night of cultural celebration.

This year the programme will focus on online events and outdoor events that adhere to public health guidelines.

Events on the evening should respond to the Culture Night theme for 2021 - ‘Inclusion, Human Rights and Diversity’ - and align to the Creative Ireland Programme Pillar – Enabling Creativity in Every Community as Creative Ireland Mayo are this year supporting the event.

Events must take place in County Mayo on Culture Night (Friday, September 17) and be free of charge.

This year there will be modest funding available to support with the cost of programming events on the night. Please see terms and conditions and application forms at www.mayo.ie/en-ie/your-council/services/arts/arts-funding-opportunities.

The deadline for applications is 5 p.m. on Friday, July 2.

For further information or to receive an application form, please contact Breda Mayock, Mayo Culture Night 2021 coordinator, on (087) 7850344 or info@mayoculturenight.ie.
