Balla mourns passing of much-loved personality Anne Marie O'Malley

The death has occurred unexpectedly at University College Galway of Anne Marie O’Malley (née Cassidy) Derryvohey, Balla, Castlebar.

Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Mary Ellen Cassidy (née Sheridan) and her brother Lawrence (Cunnagher, Ross, Castlebar), she will be sadly missed by her husband Owen, sons Daniel (Dublin) and Rory (Dublin), grandchildren Harry, Charlie, Ruby, Lily, Eoghan, Éabha and Méabh, daughters-in-law Tríona and Deirdre, brothers Sean (UK) and Tom (Co. Clare) and sister Sarah McCarthy (Derryvohey), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and many friends, to whom sympathy is tendered.

Anne Marie was a well known florist and worked for many years in the family business at Mountain View, Castlebar.

She loved the outdoor life and in particular gardening.

She was an avid reader of books and she enjoyed travelling.

Removal takes from her home tomorrow (Saturday) at 1.30pm, arriving to the Church of the Holy Family, Kiltimagh, for Requiem Mass at 2.30 p.m.

Afterwards Anne Marie will be laid to rest in Kilkinure Cemetery.

May her gentle soul rest in peace.
