Overcrowding problems persisting at Mayo University Hospital

Twenty-three patients are on trolleys at Mayo University Hospital today as overcrowding problems continue at the facility continue.

Fourteen are in the emergency department and nine in wards.

Nationally, 307 admitted patients are waiting for beds, according to today’s INMO Trolley Watch.

Of those, 235 patients are waiting in the emergency department while 72 are in wards elsewhere in the hospital.
