Mayo firm shares CCTV video footage of break-in to their offices

They hope it will help lead to the arrest of the person who stole property from them

The owners of a business in Mayo have posted a CCTV video on social media following a break-in to their offices.

RS Marine Power Sports, based at Lecanvey, Westport, took the action in appealing for assistance in find the person who entered their premises on Monday last between the hours of 1.30 and 3 a.m. and stole property.

A post on their Facebook page, where the video is shared, stated: “He entered through the window and stole a number of outboard engines and parts.

“He was wearing what looks like a motorcycle jacket with reflective strips.

"Reflective strips are also evident on his lower leg, either motorcycle gear or work wear pants, and on his shoes.

“Any information would be greatly appreciated, especially if you were driving by Lecanvey in or around that time and saw anything that may help lead the gardaí catch him and whoever helped him.
