Missing person located in north Mayo

A PERSON reported missing in north Mayo was located by emergency service personnel in the early hours of this morning (Friday).

Achill Island Coast Guard were tasked along with their colleagues in Ballyglass Coast Guard Unit to a report of a missing person in Ballycroy at 2.17 a.m. this morning.

The two teams, together with Rescue 118, searched the area and located the missing person at approximately 4.36 a.m., they reported on their social media this morning.

The Achill unit extended thanks to An Garda Síochána and the National Ambulance Service (NAS) who were also on the scene.
