Councillor unhappy over weed growth control on Mayo county town streets

Councillor Michael Kilcoyne is not happy about the growth of weeds in Castlebar.

He has seen very little spraying of weeds - adding they are ‘growing everywhere’ around the town.

With the fine weather they should be done and he queried the programme of works.

Senior engineer Anne Sweeney said spraying has taken place.

A record of the works was available to give to the councillor.
