Castlebar Celtic FC's search for a new manager of its Super League squad is underway following the departure of manager Michael McNicholas.

A statement on the club's Facebook page thanked him for his professionalism over the years and the joy he brought to Celtic Park when crowned Mayo Super League champions in 2019.

"He will always be welcome to Celtic Park and we wish him all the best for the future," the announcement added.
