Four new Covid cases hospitalised in Mayo over past 24 hours

The number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in care at Mayo University Hospital (MUH) has dropped by one in the past 24 hours to 15 - still highest number for a hospital in the country.

Four of the 15 cases are new, according to the latest report compiled by the HSE at the centre at 8 p.m. yesterday.

Connolly Hospital, Dublin, and Letterkenny University Hospital, are second highest with 10 each.

There are seven cases in Sligo University Hospital, up by one, and four in Galway University Hospital, a rise of one.

There is one suspected cases at MUH.

The HSE report added there are four vacant general beds at MUH while there are two vacant bed in the intensive care unit.
