Drop in Covid cases in care today at Mayo University Hospital

The number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in care at Mayo University Hospital (MUH) today has dropped by two to 13 - now the second highest number for a hospital in the country.

No new cases were admitted to the facility over the past 24 hours, according to the latest report compiled by the HSE at the centre at 8 p.m. yesterday.

Letterkenny University Hospital has the highest number of cases with 15.

There are four cases in Sligo University Hospital, down by two, and four in Galway University Hospital, no change.

There is no suspected cases at MUH and none of the confirmed cases are in ICU.

The HSE report added there are two vacant general beds at MUH while there is one vacant bed in the intensive care unit.
