Lidl granted preliminary order for new south Mayo store

A declaration order has been granted at Castlebar District Court to Lidl Ireland, which is planning to open a new premises on St. Colman’s Road, Claremorris.

No work has started on what is currently a green site.

But an application was granted by Judge Fiona Lydon at Castlebar District Court for a declaration order for the new building.

The application centred around the granting of an off-license to be incorporated in the premises when it is fully completed.

Judge Lydon granted the declaration order subject to conditions laid down by the planning permission for the premises which has been granted by Mayo County Council.

The matter will come before the court when a full application is made to grant an off-license for the premises when the building is completed.

Work is expected to start on the building later this year.
