Shane Boland returns to the Mayo starting 15 following suspension for the Nicky Rackard Cup final this weekend.

Mayo team named for Nicky Rackard Cup final

Mayo GAA senior hurling team manager Derek Walsh has made two changes to his side ahead of the Nicky Rackard Cup All-Ireland final against Tyrone this weekend at Croke Park.

The changes from the semi-final win over Armagh see John Cassidy come into the Mayo team at midfield in place of Kieran Kiely, with Shane Boland returning from suspension to replace Brian Hunt in the half-forward line.

Nine of the Mayo starting 15 on Saturday also started the 2020 final against Donegal, a game Mayo lost by 3-18 to 0-21. The players who did not start in that game last November were Bobby Douglas, Michael Morley, Conor Daly, Cormac Phillips, Conor Henry and Keith Higgins.

The Mayo team will be captained tomorrow (Saturday) by Keith Higgins, with Stephen Coyne as vice-captain. The game can be viewed live on TG4 and will be broadcast on Midwest Radio. The throw-on time is 1.30 p.m.

The starting 15 for tomorrow's final is as follows: Bobby Douglas; Stephen Coyne, Michael Morley, Conor Daly; Gary Nolan, David Kenny, Conor Henry; John Cassidy, Sean Kenny; Cormac Philips, Cathal Freeman, Shane Boland; Keith Higgins, Adrian Philips, Sean Regan.
