Two Mayo men on duty with teams at Olympics

TWO Mayo men are involved with Irish teams competing at the Olympic Games this week.

Cameron Hanley, a native of Claremorris, is a manager with the Irish showjumping team who start their individual competitions today (Tuesday), with team events commencing on Thursday.

In action for Ireland this morning in the showjumping individual qualifiers are Darragh Kenny and VDL Cartello, Bertram Allen and Pacino Amiro, and Cian O’Connor and Kilkenny.

David Kearney, another Claremorris native, now based in Dublin, is lead performance coach with the Irish ladies golf team in Tokyo who see action in round one of the the individual competition today.
