Four Mayo burger outlets win big in National Burger Day awards ceremony
Burger enthusiasts in Mayo don’t have to stray too far from home to get their hands on award-winning burgers, as Kepak, the sponsor of National Burger Day, today announced four burger outlets in the county as the best in Connaught.
Caffolla’s Takeaway and Diner in Castlebar won the coveted Best Independent Takeaway Burger in Connaught while Blue Thunder in Westport was named Best Takeaway Chain in the province.
Westport’s Cian’s on the Bridge also won the title of Best Gourmet Burger Specialist in Connaught and Blue Thunder in Claremorris was crowned Best Independent Fast Food Chain in the province.
The announcement comes ahead of National Burger Day, taking place tomorrow, which will see hundreds of participating outlets across the country offer a special 2 for 1 deal on their signature burgers in celebration of National Burger Day.
National Burger Day is sponsored by Kepak and supported by supported by Flipdish, Blenders, Coughlans and Kilmeadan.
