Plenty of Mayo representation on Connacht Rugby’s Under 18 girls squad

There are 12 clubs represented on this year's Connacht Rugby Under 18 girls interprovincial squad.

That's an increase of two clubs when compared to the 2019 squad.

Three Mayo clubs – Ballina, Claremorris Colts and Westport – are represented, with a total of 10 players from the county on the 30-member squad.

The Mayo girls are: Sarah McCormack, Amy McWilliams, Clara Barrett, Katelyn Bourke, Leah Sweeney (all Ballina), Rosie Ganly, Abigail Gibbons, Grainne Hassey, Jenna Mortimer (all Claremorris Colts) and Ellen O’Toole (Westport).

The other clubs represented are Ballinasloe, Buccaneers, Connemara, Corinthians, Creggs, Oughterard, Portumna, Sligo and Tuam.

Connacht will play a challenge game against Munster tomorrow (Saturday) in Corinthians, while the interpro games will be played against Leinster on August 29, Munster on September 5 and Ulster on September 11.
