Mayo venue announces series of outdoor concerts
Garbos Venue has announced a series of live outdoor music gigs, starting next Wednesday (August 25) and Thursday (August 26) and running throughout September, in the stretch tent area at Mayo Leisure Point, Castlebar.
After 18 months of no live music shows in front of an audience, it is great to be back and Garbos can’t wait to welcome back patrons all safely to their outdoor Covid-safe space.
The shows, billed as 'The Occasion at Barcastle', will take place on a specially constructed outdoor stage located on the grounds adjacent to Mayo Leisure Point.
The line-up of artists include Crow Black Chicken, The Frank and Walters, Paddy Casey, Jerry Fish, Jack Lukeman, along with some local artists The Mayo Concert Orchestra, John Hoban, Tony Reidy and Dan Delaney with other acts yet to be announced.
In line with government guidelines, 130 tickets will be available per gig sold in tables for 2, 4 or 6 people (pods).
This series of shows is being made possible with funding from the Live Performance Support Scheme from the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, and it would not be feasible without their support.
Tickets are currently on sale at www.ticketweb.ie “Garbo’s Venue” in tables of 2, 4 or 6 people all seated in stretch tents with heaters and blankets - with patrons advised to dress for the weather.
Table service for food and drinks will be available on the night. Grab your tickets quickly as all shows are sure to sell out quickly.
Current Covid regulations will be adhered to and we ask all patrons to follow them while at the shows.
