Mayo's Covid hospitalisaton figures third highest in the country today

The number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in care at Mayo University Hospital (MUH) has dropped by one to 21 in the past 24 hours.

That's according to the latest assessment conducted at the Castlebar facility by the HSE at 8 p.m. yesterday.

It's now the third highest in the country behind Galway University Hospital (31) and the Mater Hospital (25).

Sligo University Hospital also has 21 confirmed cases receiving medical treatment,

One new confirmed case was admitted to the Castlebar centre yesterday.

Two Covid patient at MUH is in intensive care, no change.

There is one vacant general bed and one vacant ICU bed at the centre today.
