Major boost as Murrisk to get new €5m. water system

Funding of €5 million has been announced for the a new water scheme in Murrisk.

The quality of water supplied to the village has been a major concern for a number of years.

Now over 600 homes in the community will be connected to a new state-of-the-art system.

Councillor Brendan Mulroy, cathaoirleach, West Mayo Municipal District, said it is very welcome news for Murrisk.

He praised everybody involved in helping to bring the new plan forward to this point and looked forward to working starting on the project.
