Commercial vacancy rate in Mayo rises to 17.0%

The commercial vacancy rate in Mayo has increased to 17.0%, representing an increase of 0.3 percentage points on the corresponding rate in June 2020.

That's according to the latest GeoView Commercial Vacancy Rates Report commissioned by GeoDirectory and prepared by EY Economic Advisory.

Of the towns in Mayo sampled, Ballina (25.1%) had the highest commercial vacancy rate while Westport (12.7%) had the lowest.

Up to 17.9% of commercial units in Mayo were classified as providing accommodation and food services.
