Number of Covid cases at Mayo University Hospital falls further

The number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in care at Mayo University Hospital (MUH) has dropped by one to seven in the past 24 hours.

That's according to the latest assessment conducted at the Castlebar facility by the HSE at 8 p.m. yesterday.

One new case was admitted to the centre on Friday.

There are 348 cases nationally, down by four, the Beaumont Hospital, Dublin, having the highest number with 36.

Galway University Hospital the second highest with 34 while Sligo University Hospital has 21 cases.

There is one suspected case at the Castlebar facility and three Covid patients are in ICU.
