Emergency services assisted ill casualty on Mayo beach

EMERGENCY services assisted a gravely ill casualty on Keel Beach in Achill yesterday (Monday) evening.

Achill Island Coast Guard were tasked at 8.27 p.m. and assisted paramedics in stretchering the casualty to the awaiting National Ambulance Service (NAS) ambulance. Local doctors also attended the scene.

The Coast Guard, on social media, extended thanks to the bystanders who helped look after the casualty and made the emergency 112 call and asked for help.
