Death of widely respected member of Mayo motor trade
The death has occurred of Martin McHugh, Monument Park, Turlough, Castlebar.
The deceased was widely known and respected in the Mayo motor trade, having run his own successful car sales business and motor garage in Turlough for many years.
Warm tributes have been paid to him on the condolences page of the death notices website, RIP.ie.
One tribute described him as 'a great neighbour and a true gentleman' and another lauded him as 'a champion of the Irish Kidney Association'.
His interest in cattle farming was also referenced in the tributes with one stating he was 'a very friendly man to meet at the Angus Sales' and that he always extended a warm welcome to visitors to his farm and home.
Indeed Martin won many prizes for his cattle at agricultural shows over the years
The deceased will be sadly missed by his heartbroken family: his wife Ann, daughters Jacinta and Martina, son Stephen, granddaughter Evie, son-in-law Conor, Martina's partner David, Stephen's partner Victoria, neighbours, relatives, and friends, to whom sympathy is tendered.
Requiem Mass for the repose of his soul takes place tomorrow (Monday) at 2.30 p.m. in St. Joseph's Church, Keelogues, with interment after in Keelogues Cemetery.
