Extension for north Mayo school proceeds to tender
JESUS and Mary Secondary School at Gortnor Abbey in Crossmolina has been granted approval to proceed to tender for a new ASD two classroom extension.
The approval to proceed to tender for the extension will include a single-storey ASD unit extension to the existing school building, comprising of classrooms and ancillary accommodation, together with alterations to the existing building and associated site and improvement works.
Deputy Alan Dillon said he was pleased to learn that Jesus and Mary Secondary School have been sanctioned approval to proceed to tender for the additional accommodation.
He commented: “It will greatly enhance the facilities at the school. It is excellent to see progress being made with this approval.
“I wish principal John Mangan, deputy principal Sarah McGreal, as well as all the staff and students every continued success for the future.
“Once tenders are received, the project will need to be approved to proceed to construction and I will work to ensure this happens without delay.”
