Death of Joan Colleran, Castlebar, is widely mourned

The death has occurred of Joan Colleran, (née McGovern), Garryduff Park, Snugboro, Castlebar, and formerly of Kells, Co. Meath.

A member of a popular and widely respected local family, news of her passing has evoked a great sense loss and sorrow.

Predeceased by her husband Martin, daughter Caroline and grandson Mark, she is deeply regretted by her loving sons John (London), Michael (Castlebar), Martin (Castlebar), Patrick (Castlebar) and Francis (Chicago), daughters Rose Walsh (Galway), Gabrielle Grant (Kells) and Ita Gibbons (Castlebar), brothers Francis (Kells) and Henry (Croydon, UK), sister Josephine (Kells), grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, nephews, nieces, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Deepest sympathy is extended to the Colleran family on their loss.

Her remains will be reposing at the Coady Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 5 until 7 p.m.

Removal from the Coady Funeral Home on Friday morning at 11 a.m. to the Church of The Holy Rosary for Requiem Mass at 11:30 a.m.

Burial takes place afterwards in the New Cemetery.
