Predeceased by her daughter Catherine and brother Hugh, she is deeply regretted by her heart broken husband Eamon, sons Michael, John and Eamonn, daughters Ann-Marie (Jennings) and Breege, son-in-law, daughters-in-law and partners, Harry, Orla, Noreen, Nadine and Colm, grandchildren, Fearghal, Rachel, Kirsty, Shane and Matthew, sisters Vonnie, Pearl and Kathleen, brothers Liam, Pat and Sean, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, godchildren, extended family and friends.

Reposing at her residence in Breaffy, (F23F858) on Saturday from 3 to 6 p.m. with removal on Sunday at 12.30 p.m. for Funeral Mass at 1 p.m. in St. Aloysius Breaffy, with burial afterwards in Breaffy Cemetery.

NOREEN GILLIGAN, BELCARRA

Noreen Gilligan (née Jennings), formerly of Villa Patricia, Belcarra, Castlebar.

Predeceased by her daughter Patricia (1980) and her husband Christopher (January 2021), she was much loved aunt of Michael, Eva, Rita, Bernard, Assumpta, Magdelan and Pauline (James Martin’s family, Ballyfarna), and Oliver, Siobhan, John and Bernard (Rita’s family, Carlow) along with Caroline Jones and Breda Whelton (Christopher’s nieces).

She is also sadly missed by her grandnieces and grandnephews, and a wide circle of kind neighbours and loyal friends in Belcarra and beyond.

Reposing at Belcarra Community Centre on Saturday from 10.30 to 11.45 a.m. with Funeral Mass at St. Anne's Church, Belcarra, at 12 p.m. and burial afterwards in Knock Cemetery.

RITA MCNAMARA, ACHILL

Rita McNamara (née O'Malley), Pollagh, Keel, Achill.

She is deeply regretted by her husband James, daughters Anne Marie, and Mary, sons Edward, Joseph, Patrick, James, Tommy and Michael, their families, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister Kathleen (Dooega) relatives and friends.

Rita was predeceased by her parents Pat and Ann O'Malley and brother Patrick.

Removal from her residence tomorrow (Saturday) at 10.45 a.m. for Mass in St. Patrick's Church, Pollagh, Keel, at 11 a.m.

Rita will be laid to rest afterwards in Slievemore Cemetery.

BERNARD (BERNIE) WALSH, KILTIMAGH

Bernard (Bernie) Walsh, Culleen House, Gortgarve, Kiltimagh.

Predeceased by his parents Brian and Annie B, sister Cora, brothers Tom and James, he is deeply regretted by his brother Ambrose, sisters Assumpta and Kate, nieces and nephews.

Bernie will be reposing in O Hora's Funeral Home, Kiltimagh, on Sunday evening from 5 o'clock with removal to the Church of the Holy Family Kiltimagh, arriving at 8 o'clock.

Funeral Mass on Monday at 12 o'clock followed by burial afterwards in Kilkinure Cemetery.

ELEANOR FRANCIES WILLS, BALLINA

Eleanor Frances Wills (née Bourke), Downhill Road, Ballyholan, Ballina.

Predeceased by her husband Arthur John, brothers Charlie, Samuel and Norman, and sister Margaret, she is deeply regretted and dearly missed by her loving family: David, Stanley, Ruth and Michelle, grandchildren Harry, Romy, Oliver, Amy and Dara, her sister Olive, brothers Robert and James, in-laws, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Funeral cortege will arrive to St. Michael's Church of Ireland, Ballina, on Sunday for Funeral Service at 2 p.m. with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

MARGARET (PEGGY) WOODS, KNOCK

Margaret (Peggy) Woods (née Morley), formerly of Faughill, Knock, and Downside School, Somerset, England.

Died peacefully in the wonderful care of Ave Maria Nursing Home, Tooreen.

Predeceased by her husband Ronald and siblings John, Liam and Nan, she is mourned by her stepchildren Susan (Somerset), Kitt (Canada) and Imelda (Magherafelt).

She is also survived by her grieving sisters Maureen and Monica, brothers Eamon and Tom, nieces, nephews and many dear friends.

Reposing at Marian Funeral Home, Knock, from 5.30 to 7 p.m. on Saturday.

Removal to Knock Parish Church for Requiem Mass at 11 a.m. on Sunday, with burial afterwards in the local cemetery.

Reposing at McGowan's Funeral Home, Ballina, on Saturday morning from 11.30 a.m. with removal at 1 p.m. to arrive to St. Muredach's Cathedral, Ballina, for Mass of the Resurrection at 1.30 p.m. and burial afterwards in Leigue Cemetery.

Reposing at 11 Ashgrove, Swinford, on Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m.

Removal to Our Lady's Help of Christians Church, Swinford, for Funeral Mass at 12 p.m. on Monday with burial afterwards in Kilconduff Cemetery.

Predeceased by her husband John, her parents Michael and Winifred, her brothers Tom and Joe, she is deeply regretted by her daughters Lynn (Drogheda), Mary (Portlaoise), Rita Anne (Cloonfad), her grandson Philip, her sister Etta Lannon (Ballyhaunis), her son-in-law Aidan, her sister-in-law Josephine (New York), cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Donnellan's Funeral Home, Clare Street, Ballyhaunis, on Saturday evening from 4 o'clock until 6 o'clock.

Funeral will arrive to St. Patrick's Church, Cloonfad, for Funeral Mass at 2 o'clock on Sunday with burial afterwards in the local cemetery.

Burial took place today in Killeen Cemetry after Requiem Mass in St. Brendan's Church, Tiernaur.

DES THORNTON, BALLINTUBBER

Des Thornton, Ballintubber, Claremorris.

Died peacefully and comfortably at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Pre-deceased by his wife Jo (February 2021), sister Ita and granddaughter Sarah, he is sadly missed by his loving family: heartbroken daughters Emer, Deirdre Minogue, Maura, son John, foster-son Brendan, brother Colm and sister Emer (Dublin).

He is also deeply regretted by his daughter-in-law Olivia, sons-in-law Michael and TJ, grandchildren, great-grand-children, loving carers, neighbours and friends.

Remains arriving to Ballintubber Abbey on Saturday evening at 6.15 p.m.

Funeral Mass on Sunday morning at 10 a.m. with the funeral proceeding to Shannon Crematorium.

MICHAEL (SEAMUS) WALSH, BALLINA

Michael Walsh, better known as Seamus; Belderrig Beg, Ballina.

Died peacefully at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his parents Michael and Katie, Seamus will be deeply missed by his brother Padraig, sisters Mary Kenny (Ballina), and Geraldine, brother-in-law Bernie, nieces, nephews, grand niece and grand nephews.

Removal took place from Lynns Funeral Home, Killala, at 6 p.m. today to St Teresa's Church, Belderrig, for prayers at 7 p.m.

Requiem Mass on Saturday in St. Teresa's Church at 12 noon, followed by burial in Belderrig Cemetery.
