New website promoting Mayo food and drink

A NEW website dedicated to Mayo food and drink has just been launched.

It has a fantastic directory of food and drink producers, food trucks, farmers and country markets, food festivals and food visitor experiences, all of which will be of great interest to both locals and tourists.

It also has details of the superb programme of training courses and networking events that have been designed specifically for food and drinks businesses in the county as part of the Mayo Food and Drink Networking and Training Programme.

All details can be found on the new website, https://www.mayofood.ie/.

“The website is a wonderful resource for anyone interested in finding out about food and drink in Mayo as well as for the sector itself,” said Oonagh Monahan, programme manager, who is the author of the Mayo Food & Drink Strategy 2020-2025.

“There are 63 producers listed along with 29 food trucks and coffee carts and 16 visitor experiences. These range from distilleries, bakeries, and breweries, to shellfish farmers, hummous makers, honey producers, foraging tours and cookery courses.”

The Mayo Food & Drink programme calendar runs until July 2022 and consists of free training, mentoring and networking events which are designed for and available exclusively to Mayo food and drink businesses.
