A brighter day in store for Mayo tomorrow

Wednesday will be largely dry with sunny spells. A few showers will develop later in the afternoon and westerly winds will increase, ahead of a band of rain which will move southeastwards during the evening. A strong and gusty northwest wind will follow the rain. A cooler day than recently with highest temperatures of 12 or 13 degrees.

A breezy and wet start to Wednesday night as rain moves southeastwards across the country. The rain will be followed by colder and clearer conditions, with scattered showers feeding into the north and northwest. Minimum temperatures 2 to 5 degrees, but a few degrees milder in western and northern coastal parts.
