News is emerging that a National Lottery ticket sold at Turlough Stores XL has scooped a prize of €595,521 for the holder.

The shop has confirmed the win on its Facebook page.

The post stated: "Check your tickets, we sold a €595,521 winning ticket in tonight's lottery.

"Huge congratulations to the winner. We are delighted for you."

There was no winner of the Lotto jackpot, but there were two winners of the Match 5+ bonus prize, both winning over half a million euro.
