Semi-finals to savour at all championship grades

The semi-final line-ups in the Mayo senior, intermediate and junior football grades are now known.

Westport play Belmullet in one Connacht Gold Mayo SFC semi-final, which means that one of this year's finalists will be going for a first ever title at this level.

On the other side of the draw, last year's winners, Knockmore, face arguably the team of the championship so far, Garrymore, who have impressed in all games to date, the latest being their quarterfinal victory over Castlebar Mitchels on Sunday afternoon.

Earlier that day, Belmullet came with a late burst to see off Breaffy in Ballina, while Westport and Knockmore beat Ballina Stephenites and Ballintubber respectively in their last eight encounters on Saturday.

The senior relegation final is between Kiltane and Balla, with the latter looking to avoid going back down to intermediate at the first time of asking.

Meanwhile, the Egan Jewellers IFC last four draw sees Mayo Gaels take on Kilmaine and Louisburgh face Ballyhaunis, while the relegation final is between Lahardane and Swinford.

Finally, there are two TF Royal Hotel Exclusive JFC A quarterfinals to be played next Saturday, Shrule/Glencorrib v Achill and Cill Chomáin v Ardagh, with the winners set to join Islandeady and Kilmeena in the last four.
