Thirty-four players at weekend's Mayo senior combine

Thirty-four players from 19 clubs attended the first Mayo senior combine at the weekend in the dome at the Connacht GAA Centre of Excellence, Bekan.

Mayo GAA has reported it as an 'excellent weekend' during which players went through physical testing, skills assessments and tactical sessions, leading to a full indoor game.

“It was a really high standard with excellent engagement from players,” said Mayo GAA.

The players were split into Blue and Green teams.

The Team Blue players were: Aaron McHale (Parke), Adam Barrett (Kilmaine), Alfie Morrison (Louisburgh), Bob Tuohy (Castlebar), Ciaran Gavin (Ballintubber), Conor Dunleavy (Balla), Donnacha McHugh (Castlebar), Frank Irwin (Ballina), Jack Livingstone (Breaffy), Jack Mahon (Charlestown), Kuba Callaghan (Ballaghadereen), Liam Óg Horkan (Garrymore), Matthew Lenaghan (Charlestown), Niall Murphy (Charlestown), Oisin Tunney (Breaffy), Paddy Goldrick (Charlestown), Tomas Fahey (Kilmaine).

Team Green was: Aaron McDonnell (Ballinrobe), Aidan Cosgrove (Kiltimagh), Cathal Slattery (Garrymore), Conor Beirne (Breaffy), Conor McStay (Ballina), Fenton Kelly (Davitts), Fionan Duffy (Crossmolina), Jack Roynane (Davitts), Jamie McNicholas (Kiltimagh), Liam Burke (Ballinrobe), Niall McManamon (Westport), Paddy Heneghan (Castlebar), Patrick Cannon (Burrishoole), Ronan Carolan (Parke), Ronan O'Reilly (Parke), Sam Callinan (Ballina), Stephen Jackson (Ardnaree).

A second combine will be scheduled for the coming weeks, with further players becoming available after completing their club campaigns.
