Number of Mayo drink driving arrests at weekend revealed

Four Mayo motorists have been arrested for drink-driving offences over the weekend.

The figure has been confirmed by An Garda Siochána in Mayo.

Three of the detections were made at checkpoints Ballina with the fourth in Westport.

On the lead-up to Christmas, there is expected to be an escalation in garda checkpoints.
