The networking event Come Together! will take place on Zoom.

Mayo event in celebration of International Day of Persons with Disabilities

Mayo County Council’s Arts Service has made a considerable commitment to the development of quality arts and disability activity in the county through flagship projects and ongoing programmes.

On Friday, December 3, a networking event entitled Come Together! will take place on Zoom for members of the Mayo Arts and Disability Network.

This network is made up of people with disabilities, artists, venues and support agencies with an interest in the area of arts and disability, and the event offers an opportunity for network members to come together, share information and find out about Mayo County Council’s supports as well as the Arts Council’s Arts & Disability Connect funding scheme, administered by Arts and Disability Ireland, Dublin.

Come Together! will feature presentations by Padraig Naughton, executive director of Arts and Disability Ireland; artist Katie Moore, Mayo; and Damien O’Connor, Arts and Disability co-ordinator with Mayo County Council. It will conclude with a question and answer session.

The event will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. To book a place or for further information on Mayo County Council’s Arts & Disability Programme or UPSTART, contact Damien O’Connor on (094) 9064363 (Tuesdays and Wednesdays only) or mayoarts@mayococo.ie.

Come Together! is funded by Mayo County Council in partnership with the Arts Council.
