Art sale in aid of Western Care

A SALE of art work in aid of Western Care Association, exhibited at the Custom House Studio and Gallery, Westport Quay, from today (Thursday, December 16) until January 16, is taking place.

Celebrating all who give freely of their time, talents and effort to help others, the art will be available to purchase on westerncare.com.

An exhibition upstairs at the studios features augmented reality art works by artists from Carrowbeg Enterprises in Westport, made in association with guest artist Orla Casey.

Orla facilitated eight workshops with artists Trish Kelly, Ellen Cafferkey, Sarah Kelly, Anna Rose Lowry, Máire Maguire, Gerry O’Malley and Una Kearns. Together they explored and expanded the tradition of portraiture, from collage, through computer aided design programmes to create two augmented reality pieces.
