Ballina native rejoins League of Ireland club

Ballina's Jesse Devers has rejoined League of Ireland Premier Division side Finn Harps for the upcoming 2022 season.

It will be his second stint with the Ballybofey-based club, having played a part in their promotion to the Premier Division in 2018.

Devers has previously had spells with Wolverhampton Wanderers, Sligo Rovers and Galway United. In Mayo, he has had stints with Manulla and recently played with his hometown club Ballina Town, scoring a brace in the club's 4-1 win over Carbury FC in the TP Brennan Connaught Cup and in the club's final Super League game of the season against Claremorris AFC.

“Finn Harps are delighted to announce that Jesse Devers has signed with the club for 2022," said the club in a statement on their website.

“I’m delighted to be back at the club," said Devers. "I haven’t enough good things to say about the people behind the scenes and how I was treated in my first spell here. I’m really excited to get started now in preseason and hopefully we’ll have a good season.”
