Tiling works start at Mayo swimming pool

TILING works have commenced at Claremorris swimming pool.

Claremorris Leisure Centre confirmed the news on their social media that works have started.

Existing tiles are being removed and the pool will then be retiled.

The duration of the contract is three months with one month post contract facilitation works.

The value of the contract is over €650,000 with a specialist tiling contractor appointed.

Claremorris Leisure Centre extended thanks to Mayo County Council and the centre's board of directors for their hard work in getting the project underway.

A progress update will issue early in the new year and the works will be welcomed by customers who look forward to seeing the pool reopening.
