Former inter-county manager takes charge at his Mayo hometown club

Ballinrobe GAA Club has announced that Peter Forde has been ratified as manager of their intermediate team for the coming season. The announcement came following a meeting of the club executive on Thursday evening.

A Ballinrobe native, Forde played all his football with his hometown club and lined out for Mayo at senior inter-county level.

As a manager, he has taken charge of the Galway senior footballers and most recently the Breaffy senior team.

Forde's selectors will be John Gilrane and Colm Jennings, while Evan Gannon will be doing stats for the management team after having been involved in stats for the club last year. Gilrane and Jennings have been involved with coaching in the club at many levels over the years, and bring with them a lot of experience.

“It’s great to have three Ballinrobe natives involved with our flagship team and augers well for the development of future managers within the club,” said Ballinrobe GAA Club in announcing the new management team on Facebook.
